Check out the full trailer of the upcoming afternoon series of ABS-CBN, “Maria La Del Barrio”.

ABS-CBN’s Filipino adaptation of the 1995 hit Mexican telenovela "Maria la del Barrio" is part of the new afternoon programming of ABS-CBN, ‘Kapamilya Gold’ featuring one of the hottest love teams on the country today, Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee.
 

Other cast members include Paw Diaz as Soraya Montenegro, Inno Martin as Vladimir Dela Vega, Ian Veneracion as Don Fernando Dela Vega, Angel Aquino as Victoria Montenegro-Dela Vega, Tricia Santos as Vanessa dela Vega, Kaye Brosas as Carlota, Charee Pineda, Katya Santos as Chacha, Justin Gonzales as Pedro, Gio Alvarez as Anot,  Atoy Co as Mang Doro, and Radjie Mortiz as Urbano. With the special participation of the Box Office Comedy Queen, Ai-Ai de las Alas as ‘Casilda’, the surrogate mother of Maria.

Here’s the plot of the TV Series

"María Hernandez (Erich Gonzales) is a naíve girl who dreams of a Prince Charming in her life. When she meets Luis Fernando Dela Vega (Enchong Dee), she thinks she already met her Prince Charming. But when she sees him with another girl, Soraya Montenegro (Paw Diaz), she gets hurt and seeks revenge as she transforms into a rich, gorgeous woman and becomes the girlfriend of Luis Fernando's younger brother, Vladimir Dela Vega (Inno Martin). The said Filipino adaptation is directed by Ms. Rory Quintos, the director behind the hit TV Series, ‘Kristine’.
