Happy Yipee Yehey! ‘Nananana’ Album Reaches Gold Just Two Weeks After Release

"Happy Yipee Yehey! hosts, headed by Randy Santiago, John Estrada, and Rico J. Puno, were recently honored by Star Records with a gold record award for their first album, Happy Yipee Yehey! Nananana, which exceeded 7,500 unit sales in just two weeks after its release.
 

Rico was grateful to the fans who were instrumental in making the album a success. He said, "We're glad that all our hardwork paid off. This gold record award just proves that there are really people now who love our show."
 

For first-time 'singer' John, the record album was an 'unexpected dream.' He shared, "Naturally, everyone wants to be a singer. But for someone like me who knew that it was not my turf, I did not expect anything from it. That's why I was so thankful that God blessed me to be part of this HYY album where I became one of the 'singers."
 

Meanwhile, Randy paid tribute not only to the people who bought the album but also to the FM stations that supported them. "Many thanks to the radio stations that believed in the album and to the DJs who kept on playing our songs," said Randy.
 

Randy was also positive for the continued feat of the album especially this Holiday season when Filipinos celebrate Christmas parties with happy songs keeping them company. He said, "Hopefully we reach the platinum mark in no time, especially this Christmas. The album is a perfect gift to their families and other loved ones."
 

The seven-track Christmas album of HYY features "Nananana" of Randy, John, and Rico as its carrier single. "Nananana," "I Swing Mo," and "Matapos Man Ang Kailanman" are all sung by Randy, John, and Rico, who are now better known as RJR.
 

Complete the Christmas celebration with family sing-along session of other Happy Yipee Yehey! Nananana tracks including "No Boypren, No Problem" by Pokwang; "Mahalin Ka Ng Totoo" by Toni Gonzaga; "Merry Christmas and a Happy Yipee Yehey" and "Happy Yipee Yehey Theme Song" both sung by the HYY cast. The album also contains minus one versions of the songs.

“Happy Yipee Yehey!” (HYY) hosts John Prats and Bianca Manalo gamely kissed each other Friday, after their co-host Pokwang teased them.

Not even their distance in location can delay this much-awaited moment. John was in San Juan for his segment “Ikaw Ang Bida” while Bianca was at the HYY studio. At the start of the show, Rico J boldly asked John if there’s already something going on with him and Bianca. John admitted Bianca is his big crush.

Actress-host-beauty queen Bianca Manalo strongly belied accusations that she causes the splitsville of Melissa Ricks and Jake Cuenca and the recently rumored separation of Rachelle Ann Go and John Prats.

“Nirerespeto ko po kung anong relasyon meron sila. Kung may pinagdaanan po sila, labas na po ako dun, wala po akong kinalaman talaga…Ako po, bilang babae, ayaw ko po sanang mailagay sa ganyang klaseng isyu—na may third party,” Bianca said in an interview.

Actor John Prats and singer Rachelle Ann Go have called it quits, Toni Gonzaga confirmed on “The Buzz” Sunday.

Gonzaga also said that, contrary to reports, Bianca Manalo is not involved in the split up.

“Ito ang pagkakaalam ko po, hiwalay na talaga for the longest time si Rachelle Ann Go at John Prats at hindi mag-on si John Prats at Bianca Manalo,” said Gonzaga.

Gonzaga, Prats and Manalo are all hosts of ABS-CBN's television program “Happy, Yipee, Yehey!”

Gonzaga added that “they are going out as a group, with ‘Happy, Yipee, Yehey!”

When asked if Prats is courting Manalo, Gonzaga, also a host of “The Buzz,” said: “I have a feeling [na nanliligaw] pero hindi naman nila kinukumpirma… Pero nararamdaman ko feel ni Prats si Bianca. Feel niya talaga kasi madalas siya sa dressing room nila.”

Manalo kept her distance from the issue, saying she and Prats are just friends.

Hinusgahan agad si John nang hindi man lang nakukuha ang panig ng tv host-actor. Nag-bbm ako kay John. "Hindi ko sinuntok, mare! Ikukuwento ko sa 'yo bukas. Kukunan lang ang eksena ko," sa "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin."

Ang ginawa ko, tinawagan ko ang isang production staff para linawin ang isyung ito.

"No, hindi sinuntok ni John. Ganito ang kuwento no'n," simula ng source ko, "Nakarating kay John sa dressing room na itong si Alex, pinagalitan 'yung mga matatandang tumayo sa upuan nila sa audience gallery para umihi.

"Siyempre, mga senior citizens na 'yan, di ba? Pag naiihi sila, hindi naman nila puwedeng tiisin, kaya tumayo sila sa puwesto nila at dire-diretso palabas papuntang CR.

"Nakita ngayon nitong si Alex, kaya pinagalitan n'ya 'yung matatanda. Sinigawan niya, 'Sinabi kanina na walang tatayo, dahil magsisimula na ang show. Alam n'yo, two years ago, may pinalabas na 'ko dito at hanggang ngayon, hindi pa nakakabalik.

"Kaya, 'Get out!' Eh, 'yung matatanda, tuloy-tuloy pa sa upuan. Napikon yata si Alex, kaya sumigaw na naman ng, 'I said, 'Get out!' Kaya 'yung matatanda, umiiyak na umalis.

"Ang ginawa ng creative head, si Willie Cuevas, pinahabol sa marshalls ang mga matatanda at pinabalik. Nagalit din si Direk Willie, kaya nagdayalog din siya ng, 'Walang kahit sino ang magpapalabas ng audience!'

"Eh, 'yung buong eksenang 'yon, nakarating kay John, kaya bago magsimula 'yung show, nilapitan ni John si Alex at pinagalitan. 'Bakit mo pinalalabas 'yung matatanda, ha? Bastos ka, ha! Wala kang galang sa matatanda!
