Charice to release 2 new singles- 'Louder' & 'Lost the Best Thing' this May 31, 2011!

Charice’s team is stepping up the game for generating buzz on Charice’s upcoming album. After more than just a month from releasing “Before It Explodes” and “One Day”, two new singles will be released on May 31, 2011 through Amazon.com, and most likely, iTunes.com too. The two new songs are“Lost the Best Thing” and “Louder”.
Louder” is an up-tempo piece that sounds very pop/dance. This is the same song that the Japanese show, “Mezmashi TV”, chose as their spring theme track. “Louder” can definitely match “Pyramid’s” no. 1 position on the Billboard dance chart, as it’s definitely a club-ready track. Charicemania.com previously published an article about Charice’s collaboration with Dreamlab, the production/songwriting team of Leah Haywood and Daniel James, and the song they were working is no other than, “Louder”.
“Lost the Best Thing” is a midtempo song in the vein of “Pyramid” and “Reset”, which sounds very radio friendly and definitely pop. Compared to “Louder”, this shows off more Charice’s voice but not to the extent of “Note to God” or her other power ballads. These two songs show that Charice is definitely trying to capture a younger audience while still keeping her older fanbase happy.
Attracting a lot of comments across the web is the cover art of these two singles, which shows Charice looking very much like a teenager, but now with a tinge more hotness than her past covers where she’s wearing edgy leather jackets and fedoras. For this cover art, Charice dons a black gauzy asymmetrical top, which shows off a little bit of skin at the shoulders plus trendy layered necklaces. Another attention-grabbing detail of her look here is Charice’s hair – eyebrow-grazing bangs with the rest of her hair loosely pulled back.

Charice Pempengco featured as one of "Most Memorable Moments" of 'Oprah Winfrey Show'!

Remember when?

Well, Charice is featured on Oprah.com and listed as one of the "Most Memorable Moments" of the Oprah Winfrey Show!
This is what it said:

Charice Was Just a Newly Discovered Teenager

You might know Charice as the jaw-dropping voice behind foreign exchange student Sunshine Corazon on the musical TV series Glee, but before she hit primetime, Charice Pempengco was stunning Oprah Show viewers with her powerful pipes.

Charice's dream of becoming a singer began halfway around the world in the Philippines. She found a following on the Internet after a stranger posted her performances on YouTube.

Oprah's producers were among the 13 million people who logged on to watch the 16-year-old sensation sing songs made famous by artists like Celine Dion and Beyoncé. Then, in May 2008, Charice flew 15 hours to showcase her talent on The Oprah Show. She stole the show with a soul-stirring rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing."

Charice's voice wasn't the only thing that impressed Oprah. "One of the things I love most about Charice is that no matter what obstacles she's faced in her life, she's never given up on her dream of something better," Oprah said.

Over the next few years, Charice's career took off and her dreams came true. She continued to appear on The Oprah Show, updating fans on her performances with Andrea Bocelli, David Foster and Celine Dion.

Aside from her guest spot on Glee, Oprah's "most talented girl in the world" released her debut album in May, 2010.

The 'Oprah Winfrey Show' is ending this May 25, 2011 after the successful 25 years.
