‘Temptation Island’ Hits P58.74 M in 3 Weeks, ‘The Adventures of Pureza’ Earns P14.4 M in 2 Weeks

The comedy film from GMA and Regal Films’ ‘Temptation Island’ has now earned more than P58.74 Million on its third week run from 45 theaters nationwide.
 

This is according to the latest figures posted by Box Office Mojo Philippines from July 20–24, 2011 (click HERE to see the total figures). The remake of the 1980 film gathered 3 million+ last week from P55 million ticket sales on its 2nd week run. With this earnings, “Temptation Island” starring the Goddesses of GMA-7 breaks the box-office sales of another pinoy comedy film starring Anne Curtis and Luis Manzano entitled “Who’s That Girl?” with a final gross receipts of P58.31 million. Temptation Island is now at no. 5 in the list of Top Grossing Pinoy Movies for 2011.
 

Meanwhile, the launching movie of Melai Cantiveros under Star Cinema and Sine Screen entitled “The Adventures of Pureza, Queen of the Riles” has raked P14.40 Million on its 2nd week of showing based from 50 screens. Good-Enough to exceed the final gross receipts of the horror-film from Viva Films, “Tumbok” starring Cristine Reyes. The comedy film is now at no. 9 spot.
