‘Temptation Island’ Earns P55.41-M in 2 Weeks

GMA Films and Regal Entertainment's latest movie offering "Temptation Island" raked a blockbuster amount of P55.41 million on its 2nd week of showing in more than 60 theaters nationwide according to Box-Office Mojo for the period July 13–17, 2011.
 

Temptation Island impressively managed to double its ticket sales in overall from P27.65 million on its first 5 days (click HERE to see the report) to a total of P55.41 million in two weeks despite the presence of 2 foreign moviesTransformers 3″ and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part Two)“ which is killing at the local box-office and the grand opening of Sine Screen and Star Cinema’sThe Adventures of Pureza, Queen of the Riles” starring Melai Cantiveros.
 
For this outstanding box-office gross of the comedy film starring Marian Rivera, Solenn Heusaff, Lovi Poe, Heart Evangelista and Rufa Mae Quinto, the movie is now up 2 places from no. 8 last week and now at no. 6 in the list of Top Grossing Pinoy Movies for 2011

Temptation Island imposingly overtakes the final gross receipts of “My Valentine Girls” and “Forever and a Day”. Almost P3-million left before it will exceed the final gross of the comedy film "Who’s That Girl?" and roughly P12-million in order to beat the box office sales of the horror-comedy movie "Bulong".
