'Aswang' Earns P22.99-M in First 5 Days

Regal Films’–”Aswang”–managed to gross P22.99 million on its first 5 days according to Box Office Mojo.
 

The much-anticipated remake of the 1992's horror film with the same title starring Lovi Poe had an opening gross of P22.99 million at Philippine box-office for the period of November 2–6, 2011 from 110 theaters (click here to see the figures).
 
This Regal Film’s latest offering bested 3 Hollywood movies which also debuted last week: “Tower Heist,”  “The Thing (2011)” and “Trespass (2011)”. “Aswang” debuts at no. 17 of the Highest-Grossing Filipino movies for 2011 list. Lovi Poe starrer has outgrossed the overall ticket sales of the horror flick “Tumbok” by Viva Films starring Cristine Reyes which just only collected P10.53 million.
