LA Galaxy vs Azkals Game Result: LA Galaxy Wins 6-1

LA Galaxy defeated the Philippine Azkals, 6-1, in their friendly exhibition game held Saturday night at the at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila, Philippines.

While it is very evident that the Major League Soccer champions LA Galaxy dominated the whole game, the Philippine Azkals were still able to threaten the Galaxy defense several times.

The crowd at the game venue went wild when David Beckham scored his team's and the game's first goal in the 20th minute followed by another goal by Mike MaGee giving the Galaxy a 2-0 lead in the 38th minute.

On the 46th minute, right before the first half ended, Phil Younghusband scored the Azkals' first and only goal to the delight of the crowd.

But during the second half, LA Galaxy scored 4 more goals against 0 from the Philippine team. Adam Cristman scored twice, and Robbie Keane and Greg Belhalter (penalty kick) scored 1 goal each for the LA Galaxy.

The friendly match called “The Dream Cup: The Philippine Azkals vs. the L.A. Galaxy with David Beckham” is part of the second leg of the LA Galaxy's Asia Pacific Tour.

“The Dream Cup: The Philippine Azkals vs. the L.A. Galaxy with David Beckham” will have a replay telecast on Sunday, December 4, 2011, 10:15 a.m. on ABS-CBN; on Monday, December 5 at 9:00 a.m. on BALLS and on Sunday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. on Studio 23.
