Brian Viloria and Rey ‘Boom Boom’ Bautista Win Against Mexican Boxers Giovanni Segura and Miguel Angel Mendoza

Brian “The Hawaiian Punch” Viloria successfully defended his World Boxing Organization (WBO) flyweight crown after defeating the formidable challenger Mexican Giovanni Segura today, December 11, during the “Island Assault 3″ at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Viloria stopped Segura during the 8th round of their fight and bagged the biggest victory of his career.

Viloria’s now holds a record of 29-3 (16 knockouts).

Meanwhile, another professional Pinoy boxer triumphs in his recent fight.

Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista defeated Mexican Miguel Angel Mendoza via a knock out during the 6th round of the main event of Pinoy Pride X at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu Saturday night, December 10, to retain his IBF featherweight title.




Bautista knocked out Mendoza by a left hook during the 6th round and served as the Mexican’s first career loss.

Bautista’s boxing record improved to 32-2 (24 knockouts), while Mendoza dropped to 17-1-1 (17 knockouts).
