The first movie offering of GMA Films and Regal Films for 2011, ‘My Valentine Girls’ starring the ‘Valentine Box Office King’ Richard Gutierrez along with his 4 leading ladies earns P17.52 million on its first five days showing run from 80 theaters nationwide.
This is according to latest figure came from third party tabulator Box Office Mojo Philippines from February 9–13, 2011 and based only from 80 major movie theaters in the country which means around 20 - 35 theaters in the other regions were not yet accounted for.
Even though the film did not equal or surpass it’s rival Filipino film, ‘Bulong’ from Star Cinema which earns P33.26 Million on its 1st five days, ‘My Valentine Girls’ still top the local box office last weekend defeating international films like ‘The Mechanic’, ‘127 Hours’ and ‘Sanctum (3D)’. Meanwhile, the comedy-horror film from Star Cinema top billed by Angelica Panganiban and Vhong Navarro continuously and consistently gross at the Box Office. On it’s second week, ‘Bulong’ hits more than P52.46 Million over 90 cinemas nationwide.
